Your data, briefly.

Aliveboard collects the minimum needed to rank you: an email address (to run your account), a display name, your date of birth, and optionally a country and city.

Your date of birth is never displayed. The public board shows only values derived from it — your age and days alive, birth year, and rank — alongside your name, country, check-in streak, active status, and verified badge, and only if you ticked the public-listing consent box. You can withdraw that consent at any time in your settings, which removes your entry instantly.

Lawful bases (UK GDPR): performance of contract (running your account), consent (public display of your entry), and legitimate interests (keeping the board honest — anti-fraud, rate limiting).

Deletion: removing your listing is instant (settings → public listing), and so is deleting your account (settings → delete account) — your account, entry, and check-in history are removed from live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. To exercise any other data right, email aliveboard@protonmail.com — we respond within one month.

Verification (optional): if you choose to verify your age, your ID document and selfie are collected and checked by Stripe Identity, acting as our processor — Aliveboard never receives or stores the document or images. We receive only the outcome and the date of birth the document confirms, which then replaces your self-declared one. Stripe retains verification data per its own policy; see stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies: only what sign-in requires. No advertising trackers.

Data is hosted in the United Kingdom (London). Aliveboard is operated from the UK; its ICO registration number will be published here once issued. Complaints: see the complaints page — or escalate to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

This notice will grow more formal before public launch. The promises above will not weaken.
